Pátmos
Patmos is a small island, just 34km2, with a population of approximately 3000 concentrated in its two main communities of Chorá and Skala, the commercial port.
It has been described as a place where heaven and earth seem to meet, a hidden gem in the Aegean – and it holds a very special place in sacred history.
UNESCO has recognised as a World Heritage Site both the ancient monastery at the summit of the island and the surrounding whitewashed settlement, known as Chorá and the Cave of the Apocalypse (Revelation).
Patmos attracts religious tourists, but also discerning visitors wishing to experience its pristine beaches, empty roads, wonderful seafood, stunning sunsets, unpolluted views of the heavens – and a vibrant and warm local community.
The Ecological Centre comprises two parcels of land totalling some 18,000m2 on mildly sloping terraced hillsides both north and south of Chorá, and adjoining the island’s holiest sites.
Villa Patinos and Suites are on the site of our Ecological Centre, just on the border of Chorá.
Through an agreement with the owners, net rental income goes directly to supporting Gardens of Discovery.
So by staying at the Villa, you are directly supporting the development of the Ecological Centre.

Our Villa and Suites are in Chorá, situated on the beautiful and tranquil West side of this UNESCO World Heritage Village.
The Villa Patinos and Suites are right next to the land designated for our Ecological Centre, just on the border of Chorá.
We are open all year and offer flexible stays from two-day mini-breaks to full weeks, or longer.
